GAMETRONIX SYSTEMS

Canadian games developer Gametronix has gone heads up with developers of electronic poker tables with the launch of its own solutions; PokerMate and PokerStation, both of which were launched on to the global arena at G2e.
Famed for its gaming kiosks and game content, Gametronix has just taken its first step into the poker market and the initial offering is impressive. Robert Mincoff, director of product implementation, explained: “Poker is one of the fastest growing games in the world but standard tables don’t generate the greatest of revenues and we felt that we simply had to join the table to do something about that. We’ve come up with three solutions; a six player fully automated table, a similarly fully automated eight player table and a peer to peer poker station single player terminal. The house wins as it doesn’t have to deal with expensive dealers. We’ve developed precision software to distribute cards, split pots, calculate sidepots, payouts and rake all without human error or salaries.”
PokerMate is TITO ready and can be used as cash at terminal or as payment to player. Smart cards can also be used.
The PokerStation has also emulated a growing trend in poker game delivery.
J.P. Symeonidis, VP of marketing and product management, explained: “We believe that Poker Station could bring a vast new clientele into casinos as the internet player in the States now has nowhere to play. Poker station replicates the experience for the online poker player delivering peer to peer opportunities to play.” PokerStation is extremely player friendly. Players sit and play just like they would in front of any other slot machine or VLT and they have the option to play in multiple language. With progressive jackpots, including Bad Beat jackpots, a player’s winning potential is almost unlimited and when the player wins the house wins too. The Station has ring games of all stakes and limits, Sit & Go’s and scheduled tournaments. Players can even play on multiple tables if they so desire.”

Symeonidis added: “Online poker generated billions of dollars in revenues annually from United States-based players. We believe Poker Station will now allow bricks and mortar operators to get a piece of those profits. Using PokerMate and PokerStation in conjunction with each other would make the ultimate electronic poker room.”

The international intention is clear with Gametronix set to bring the system to London for the International Casino Exhibition in January 2007.

AC COIN & SLOT

AC Coin and Slot had taken its Slotto series of lottery-esque games onto this huge and spectacular multi player, which was stopping people in the aisles at G2e.
The game sees plastic lottery balls blown about a huge centred dome as part of the bonus feature to the slot game.
